Pity that the hotel is not on the beach side of the road

We booked tandem hotel and arrived late at night.we easily found it because there is a big sign on the road.we found the owner and he was very helpful though we woke him up.the atmosphere is of absolute friendship and trust.comparing to many hotels in the area it is very- very clean and renovated.the breakfast was also very good and the owner very calm and reliable. The only disadvantage is that it is across the road from the beach and if it is important for you to have the sea view or to be just near the beach then it's not for you.

I recently stayed at Tandem Guesthouse for 9 nights and had a wonderful experience. The owner, Sunhil, and his wife were exceptional hosts - warm, friendly, and very accommodating. They provided exceptional service and value for money. The breakfasts were excellent, with a variety of options including fresh fruits, juice, coffee, tea. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with a large ceiling fan and A/C. The location was perfect, with shops, markets, bars, and restaurants nearby. Highly recommended!

Can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

The location of the guesthouse was fantastic, as it was just across the street from the beach. We could easily access the beach and enjoy the sun and sand. Additionally, the guesthouse was conveniently situated off the main road, making it easy to explore the nearby bars and restaurants.

The water pressure in the shower was weak, which made it difficult to enjoy a refreshing and invigorating shower experience.

Clean and spacious rooms with AC and a fridge. Great breakfast and friendly, helpful staff. Good location near the beach and plenty of shops and restaurants. Very safe and comfortable stay.

Ideal location just off main Galle rd. Loads of great fresh brews, nothing too much trouble, very helpful and always done with a smile. Felt very safe and secure. Great large very clean rooms, great shower, comfy bed, washing line in garden to leave rinsed out clothes Would definately stay again.

Not a lot to say other than excellent, couldn't really ask for anything more for the money, spotless clean, great staff and a cracking little breakfast, get the scrambled eggs!! Sunil and his able assistant are 1st class.

Spotless surroundings, helpful friendly staff who provide excellent service. Nice garden, good breakfasts included. Comfortable beds with mosquito nets, good en suite facilities with hot water showers, aircon plus fan. Good location near Centre of town, near restaurants and bars and only ten yards walk from the beach.

The staff there were so friendly and accommodating. Although the hotel was not on the beach it's just over the road!!

This was an excellent hotel and the host was extremely helpful. I would recommend this guesthouse to anyone visiting Hikkaduwa
